Commitment To Patients, Innovation & Renal Nutrition

In Pentec Health’s continued efforts to improve our ability to meet renal nutrition needs of the dialysis community, we have developed a line of formulations that address the distinct differences between nutritional needs of those patients who exhibit protein malnutrition and those patients who exhibit calorie malnutrition. This approach maximizes patient responsiveness to therapy and significantly improves tolerance. We offer a line of formulas called: PROPLETE®, PROPLETE® PLUS and PROPLETE® IPN

What is IDPN?
IDPN (Intradialytic Parenteral Nutrition) is a solution of amino acids, dextrose and, if needed, lipids administered through the dialysis machine directly into the bloodstream while a patient is receiving dialysis. The therapy provides 100 percent of the patient’s weekly protein needs* and additional calories. Each formula is tailored to the patient’s specific needs.

What is IPN?
IPN (Intraperitoneal Parenteral Nutrition) is a solution made up of amino acids and dextrose that is placed directly into a patient's peritoneal cavity. The solution providesadded protein necessary to minimize the patient's loss of protein through dialysis and to help achieve nitrogen balance. IPN therapy is usually administered at home as a replacement for one of the patient’s exchange bags.
